Friends Of WNC Nature Center is having a spectacular event to raise money for their organization and the amazing animals that live there. grOOvy tables donates a table to TAPAS Benefit

M.I.A. (Made in America) held a benefit last night to raise money for TAPAS (Teaching artists presenting in asheville schools), a new art program aimed at teaching young people art techniques while supporting local artists in Asheville, NC. M.I.A. held the event at their shop, a tee shirt gallery that offers eco-friendly shirts that features local art screen-printed directly onto the fabric.   There were several artwork sections displaying items for sale from two popular local artists - Zachary Briggs and Leslie Hinton. There was also a silent auction that featured many beautiful, handcrafted items donated by local businesses.
